Test, validate, and preview your Twitter (X) Card tags with live Twitterbot simulation and audit scoring.
Simulating Twitterbot/1.0 request & parsing social meta tags...
Your webpage includes valid Twitter Card tags optimized for high social click-through rates.
| Property / Name | Detected Content | Status |
|---|
When links are shared on the X (Twitter) platform, the Twitterbot/1.0 crawler immediately initiates an HTTP GET request to retrieve the destination page's HTML. It parses the document's <head> section looking for tags prefixed with twitter: or falling back to Facebook's og: (Open Graph) protocol.
VibeTool's Twitter Card Checker simulates the exact behavioral logic of Twitterbot. Our tool requests your live URL, inspects SSL compliance, extracts all metadata, calculates optimal image aspect ratios, checks character truncations, and renders a photorealistic preview of your post card in both Light and Dark modes.
| Tag Name | Recommended Value / Requirement | Impact If Missing |
|---|---|---|
twitter:card |
summary_large_image or summary |
Defaults to basic small summary or falls back to Open Graph (no large banner). |
twitter:title |
Max 70 characters (falls back to og:title or <title>) |
X uses the raw URL or truncated page title, decreasing click-through rate. |
twitter:description |
Max 200 characters (falls back to og:description) |
Leaves card text area blank or extracts noisy initial page text. |
twitter:image |
Absolute HTTPS URL, recommended 1200x628px (< 5MB) | Card renders with NO image, drastically hurting engagement. |
twitter:site |
Brand @handle (e.g. @vibetool) |
Loss of brand attribution and follower discovery from card links. |
twitter:creator |
Author @handle (e.g. @sayed) |
Individual writer or journalist cannot be credited in the tweet card. |
/images/cover.jpg instead of https://example.com/images/cover.jpg), HTTP instead of HTTPS, or image files exceeding 5MB.
robots.txt file does not contain User-agent: Twitterbot Disallow: /. Twitterbot must be permitted to crawl your public HTML and image assets.
?ref=twitter to your URL to force a cache refresh.
twitter:title, twitter:description, or twitter:image are missing, Twitterbot seamlessly falls back to og:title, og:description, and og:image. However, it will not default to a large image card unless twitter:card = summary_large_image is explicitly declared.
